In 1996, Kurt Angle was the first American Olympic Gold Medallist ever to win the 220-pounds class. Angle, has more than 23 years of wrestling experience with over 200 crushing pins under his belt. He has also won the 1995 "Worlds" and 1994 "US OPEN".
Angle now works with the World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc., where his new role is "The Most Celebrated First Real Athlete in World Wrestling Federation History". He made his offical debut in the WWF at the 1999 survivor series defeating a green Sean Stasiak.This would be the start of many victories for the gold medalist. He would go undefeated until the royal rumble 2000 where a man called Tazz made his debut. Tazz choked out angle and that was the first time in kurt's wwf career that he had lost but he was still not pinned.Then along came the Rock on an episode of Raw is War and pinned Kurt 1 2 3 in the middle of the ring this would be kurt's first offical loss by pinfall.
After those disapointments gold was on the horizon for kurt. He beat Val Venis for the european title on an episode of Smackdown and Kurt had won his first title in the WWF.A few weeks later he won the intercontintental title making him a double champion.He would then go on to lose the two titles in a triple threat match at Wrestlemania 2000 without even getting pinned.
Kurt is now involved in a fued with The Big Show and the two had a match at the WWF PPV Backlash,This was where kurt would go on to lose but only because the WWF is trying to get the Big Show over "BIGTIME".
In addition to being a new WWF super star, Angle is a spokesperson and marketing consultant for Protos Foods Inc., GNC and a few others sport nutrition companies.
Personal Opinion: Kurt Angle is going to be huge in the WWF in years to come i can see him become better than the rock yes the rock and even bigger than austin. he has everything Mic Skills , In Ring Ability, And the ability to make you love him or hate him . ITS TRUE. ITS TRUE.
